Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before playing Binario.
What is Binario?
Binario is a free daily binary logic puzzle, the kind also known as Takuzu, Binairo or binary sudoku. You fill a square grid with 0s and 1s using logic alone.
What are the rules?
Never place three equal symbols next to each other in a row or column. Every row and column holds the same number of 0s and 1s. No two rows are identical, and no two columns are identical.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. A new puzzle starts at midnight UTC for each difficulty, and everyone who plays that day gets the same grid, so you can compare times with friends.
Which difficulties are there?
Four: Easy (6×6), Medium (8×8), Hard (10×10) and Expert (12×12). Easy always has an obvious next move, Hard needs the rule that no two lines may match, and Expert needs you to test a value and follow it to a contradiction.
Do I ever need to guess?
No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, checked when it is generated, so every cell can be worked out by logic. On Expert, testing a value is part of that logic, not a guess.
Is Binario free, and is my data private?
Yes. Binario is free, with no account, login or purchase. Your progress, times and streaks stay in your browser and are never sent to a server.
